How it works
- Secure File Transfer – Each firm gets a dedicated, tenant-isolated SFTP folder. Access is allowed only via SSH key authentication (no passwords), with regular key rotation.
- Automated Report Delivery – Apex payroll reports are automatically exported to the firm’s Qount SFTP folder.
- Ingestion & Validation – Qount picks up files, verifies checksums/manifests, and validates report structure.
- Mapping & Posting – Qount’s payroll engine:
- Understands the Chart of Accounts (COA)
- Recognizes classes/departments
- Builds Adjusting Journal Entries (AJEs)
These entries are posted directly into QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Audit & Compliance – All file transfers, key events, and journal postings are logged for a complete audit trail.
