Zenwork-Powered 1099 Filing: End-to-End Compliance, Inside Qount

Meet a faster, fully integrated way to manage 1099 filing—from enrollment to submission—without ever leaving Qount.

This release introduces an end-to-end 1099 filing experience powered by Zenwork, built to simplify one of the most time-consuming compliance workflows firms manage each year. By removing manual steps and consolidating the process into a single system, firms can reduce risk and gain clearer visibility across every stage of filing.

Instead of stitching together tools and exports, firms can manage the entire 1099 process directly inside Qount—reviewing data, resolving issues, and moving filings forward without breaking their workflow.

What It Does for Your Firm

The new 1099 experience brings every step of the filing workflow into one clear, intuitive flow.

A Unified 1099 Dashboard

Firms get a real-time view of all enrolled clients, including vendor counts, missing information, filing status, EIN availability, and QuickBooks integration status. This gives teams immediate insight into readiness and potential risk across their entire client portfolio.

Clients can be enrolled individually or in bulk directly from Qount’s CRM, automatically placing them into the 1099 workflow.

QAI-Assisted Chart of Accounts Mapping

Once a client is enrolled, QAI analyzes transaction data and maps the chart of accounts using intelligent classification. Each suggested mapping includes a confidence score and supporting rationale, allowing teams to review, approve, or adjust with clarity and control.

This significantly reduces manual review time and helps ensure transactions are properly categorized before filing begins.

Vendor Management with Zenwork Integration

Within each client, firms manage vendors through a dedicated Vendor Dashboard. From here, teams can:

  • Identify 1099-eligible vendors based on transaction thresholds

  • Collect W-9 forms directly through Zenwork

  • Run TIN matching to validate taxpayer information

  • Track vendor-level filing readiness at a glance

All required data is validated prior to submission, reducing the likelihood of incomplete or rejected filings.

Review, Submit, and File—All in One Flow

Firms can preview the 1099 form exactly as it will be filed, make edits when needed, and submit directly from Qount. Once submitted, filings are processed through Zenwork, with real-time status updates reflected back in Qount automatically.

Optional USPS mailing with tracking is available as an add-on, allowing firms to deliver copies to vendors without manual handling.

This release introduces a new List View in QAI Hub, giving firms greater visibility and control over how work is prioritized, while preserving the intelligence behind QAI’s recommendations.

What’s New

List View for Priority Management

In addition to the existing card view, firms can now switch to a List View that displays tasks in a structured, sortable format.

This view allows teams to:

  • See task priorities in a ranked list

  • Reorder work using drag-and-drop

  • Override priority scores when business context requires it

Human-Guided Intelligence

When a priority is adjusted, QAI prompts the user to provide a reason. These inputs help QAI learn from real-world decisions, improving future recommendations while keeping accountants firmly in control.

With List View and editable priority scoring, firms can:
